Food for Thought Conversation

The Format and Purpose of ignite Sparked by BBB is as following:

ignite Sparked by BBB is intentionally designed to be different. This is not a traditional event where someone stands at the front of the room, reads a presentation, and leaves the audience with very little substance or real direction.

The focus of ignite is audience participation.

The people in the room are part of the conversation. Attendees are invited to answer questions, share experiences, and offer perspectives that help uncover what is really happening in our community.  60 second responses are what we look for. Instead of surface-level discussions designed to simply make us feel good, ignite conversations are meant to dig deeper.

If we want to change communities, we must move beyond talking about problems. Real change requires thoughtful planning, accountability, and a willingness to identify the true root causes behind the challenges we face.

ignite conversations are designed to explore those root causes. The goal is meaningful understanding that can lead to real action and long-term improvement for the people of Central Virginia.

Each event includes experts who specialize in the topic being discussed. Their role is to listen carefully to the audience and the conversation taking place. After hearing the perspectives and questions from participants, each expert is given approximately 15 minutes to share their insights, observations, and professional experience related to what has been discussed.

ignite Sparked by BBB is a one-of-a-kind program focused on meaningful dialogue, accountability, and community progress. Our hope is that participants will return each month to stay involved as we work together to address one important issue at a time and create lasting positive change in Central Virginia.
